CHILDREN'S MINISTRY PROGRAMS

The Children’s Ministry makes sure that children from birth through grade five have opportunities to become extraordinary followers of Jesus.

NURSERY

Birth - 2 Years

9:30 and 10:45 am services

Our youngest children will learn from their first moment in the nursery that Jesus loves them.  Trained and caring volunteers will be available to care for, laugh with and play with your child.

Sunday mornings in the nursery are loosely structured focusing on the comfort and safety of each child. For children who are old enough, a snack is provided half way through the hour, and the Bible story of the week is read to all children who would like to sit and listen.

In the event that the nursery staff needs to contact a parent, a volunteer will locate you in the auditorium.

*All of our children’s ministry volunteers are screened for safety purposes

HomeFront Monthly

This resource provides excellent supplemental ideas for reinforcing the month’s main theme (environment) at home.  These “Environments” go along with our curriculum and come from a book called Spiritual Parenting by Pastor Michelle Anthony.  This book is another great resource for parents!!

PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN

Ages 3 - Entering Kindergarten

9:30 am service

Kindergarten and Preschool age children will learn about God through hands-on experiences by well trained, passionate volunteers. All children are served a snack and have the chance to participate in both structured and unstructured play time.

During this program, the children will learn Biblical truths through Bible stories that are presented using creative methods. Children will have the opportunity to participate in the storytelling, through dramatic acting, and with the assistance of hands on props. Responding to God’s word is something we give the children an opportunity to do each week by worshiping through fun and exciting music, praying for others as they feel led, and praising God for all he has done!  Themed sensory tables, games, puzzles, crafts, and other activities will provide numerous opportunities for volunteers to reinforce these Biblical truths with the children.

In the event that the Kindergarten/Preschool staff needs to contact a parent, a volunteer will locate you in the auditorium.

Family worship is an important opportunity for families to connect with God together.  On November 19, December 24, December 31, and April 1 programming will not be available for children ages 4 and up. Families are encouraged to worship together on those days.

*All of our children’s ministry volunteers are background checked for safety purposes

ELEMENTARY

1st - 5th Grades

9:30 am service

Elementary age students have the opportunity to grow in their faith through large group and small group experiences.  During large group time, children will participate in music, drama, games, traditions, and the telling of The Big God Story, all designed to teach a specific Biblical truth.  Responding to God’s word is one of the most important elements of the large group experience and after each Big God Story lesson, children are lead through a response activity that gives them the opportunity to acknowledge what they have been taught and give God praise for all he has done!

Children will also participate in grade-level small groups where they will get to know other children and have the opportunity for discussion, prayer and activities. Small groups discussions are lead by an adult leader who introduces the teaching of the Biblical truth presented during large group.

Family worship is an important opportunity for families to connect with God together.  On November 19, December 24, December 31, and April 1, programming will not be available for children ages 4 and up. Families are encouraged to worship together on those days.
